Site-specific performances

Site-specific performances

"My personal appeal to site specific performances, specially in public spaces, relies in the believe that dance is an art form which needs and can be accessible to every body and it can find its source of inspiration from the environment in which is presented.

When dance performances are not only confined to theatre stages, when they are presented in any kind of location, specially public spaces, dance becomes an art which is for and within society; there is no selection, no limitation due to money, no discrimination due to knowledge; dance is part of daily life, integrated and available to anyone. Does the audience go to watch dance or/and does dance go to the people? Creating and presenting site specific performances is an enormous enrichment for the audience and the art itself. The space, its purpose, the activities which characterise it, the intimacy and proximity of people are a source of inspiration; the audience reactions, interpretation and presence become an essential part of the performance". (Raffaella Galdi)

Impro Series (from 2015 till 2018)

The dance improvisations  belong to a serie of site specific performances that are taking place in public locations. InCorpo’s interest about site specific performances comes from the believe that dance is a physical art form that can be accessible to everyone, finding inspirations and creative influences from the environment in which is presented.

Having the dance improvisation has a solid base, the performances are also characterised by the projection of recorded texts that will be directed in space through the dancers bodies. The texts are made of interviews: InCorpo brings to the public people opinions and reflections about themselves (using the initial sentence I am or I am not); and about food,  in particular about meat consumption (this subject brings together a wide variety of opposite ideas really debated nowadays).

All these thoughts are expressed  in English, German and Italian.
